Waterfall Hikes Near Palisade, CO

Palisade grows peaches and wine grapes on the valley floor while its waterfalls keep to the high country. West Fork Falls is the long outing, 4.5 miles round trip and 500 feet of gain. East Fork Falls covers two miles, and East Middle Fork matches that distance with a steeper 500-foot climb. Dogs go along on all three trails. Hayes Creek Falls, a roadside pull-off, sits a longer drive east toward the Crystal River valley. Five falls total, strongest in early summer while snowpack still feeds the creeks.
