Waterfall Hikes Near Grand Junction, CO

Grand Junction's four waterfalls hide up in the high country, away from the valley heat. Longest of them is West Fork Falls, four and a half miles out and back with 500 feet of climbing. Its neighbors run shorter. East Fork Falls asks a two mile walk and about 300 feet of gain, while East Middle Fork packs 500 feet into the same mileage. All three hikes take dogs. Funnel Falls sits on the list without trail numbers yet. Go early in the summer, when snowmelt still pushes the creeks.
