Georgetown lands between two of Central Texas's better water walks. North up I-35, Chalk Ridge Falls below Stillhouse Hollow offers 3.1 miles of creekside trail with a swim at the end and dogs welcome. Pedernales Falls State Park pulls you the opposite way, southwest, where the river slides down tilted limestone slabs and the walk is an easy 1.8 miles with about 100 feet of gain. Post Oak Falls gives a third option at 2.5 miles. Four falls come inside the radius altogether.
