About Scenic Falls
Scenic Falls sits along the Niagara Escarpment in Hamilton, Ontario, an area famous for its dense concentration of waterfalls and cascades along the Bruce Trail. The falls lie within the Iroquoia Heights Conservation Area, managed by the Hamilton Conservation Authority, so you’ll be walking on protected conservation land as you approach the main viewpoint. The Niagara Escarpment’s resistant bedrock creates the steep drops and scenic gorges that make this stretch of the Escarpment such a magnet for waterfall seekers from Tobermory to Niagara Falls. This is a short, rewarding stop for hikers and sightseers alike: the route to the overlook is compact but offers classic Escarpment scenery, woodland footpaths, rocky sections and a canyon-edge vista. Wear good footwear and exercise caution near the rim; the site’s compact setting makes it an easy add-on to a longer Bruce Trail outing or a quick nature break for families and photographers.
