Conewago Falls is a dramatic stretch of rapids and rocky cascades on the lower Susquehanna River near York Haven, Pennsylvania. Rather than a single vertical drop, the river tumbles through a broad, jagged channel that creates powerful, visually striking rapids and turbulent whitewater — an engaging destination for photographers and anyone drawn to dynamic river scenery. Historically the falls were a significant natural barrier: at a wide spot where the Susquehanna expands to roughly 8,000 feet, the river drops about 19 feet over a quarter mile, forming the historic Conewago barrier just south of Harrisburg and along either side of Three Mile Island.

The site is on the land unit known as Falmouth Access (designation SOTH), with land ownership listed as OTHS and management by SFW — plan accordingly and follow any posted access rules.
